Üstel Fonksiyon Nedir ?

a > o, a ≠ 1 ve x ∈ R olmak üzere; f: R → R⁺, y = f(x) = aˣ şeklindeki fonksiyonlara üstel fonksiyon denir. Fonksiyondaki a'ya "taban", x ise "üs" denir. Örneğin y = 3ˣ, y = (1/2)ˣ, y = 5⁻ˣ fonksiyonları birer üstel fonksiyondur.
